Who Am I?
A brief artistic biography:
My passion for the visual arts began with tragedy. Nearly 20 years ago, I witnessed the hit-and-run homicide of a dearly loved friend. A best friend. This terrible event accelerated a downward spiral of health issues. Then unexpectedly, a journey of healing began at the Van Gogh Museum of Amsterdam. In a mysterious way, I was able to gain context for my loss through Van Gogh’s body of work. On that day, I first sensed a call to the arts and a purpose for my life.
These formative experiences led me to attend art school at The Ohio State University, where I earned a BFA with Distinction, specializing in Painting and Drawing. I also explored hand-formed ceramics and site-specific installations.
A decade later, I am returning to the studio with a renewed dedication and passion for experiencing and sharing the mysterious, healing power of art and faith with others.
